Capture Me (Capture Me, #1) introduced Lucas and Yulia...

A deadly, dangerous man whose hands are soaked with blood to protect a worldwide-feared arms dealer. And a sexy, seductive Ukrainian spy who poses as an innocent Russian interpreter to lure Lucas' boss, arms dealer Julian Eseguerra, into bed.

With Julian caught between her sheets, he'll whisper his secrets into her ear. Except it's not Julian who lights her fire...it's Lucas. And when Julian dismisses her intentions, it's Lucas who ends up tangled in Yulia—and caught in her web of lies and deceit. Because their night of high, passionate heat sparked an explosion that burns lives to death.

So when the ashes settle and Yulia's betrayal ignites a fire in his bones, Lucas is enthralled with the need to capture Yulia, to rescue her, to hurt her, to punish her, for all the pain she's caused.
There’s a certain satisfaction in revenge, a sense of closure. It doesn’t undo the past, but it can help one feel better about it.

Although in Bind Me (Capture Me, #2) Lucas continues to fall into lust with Yulia, wanting her body almost as much as he needs her secrets. Secrets Yulia's determined to keep close to her heart, unwilling to allow Lucas to break her mind as he's broken her body in the most wondrous way.
Pain and pleasure. Fear and lust. I never knew the combination could be so devastating.
But soon the sensual touches and mumbled confessions burst her defenses into flames, and a slow burn of unspoken love kindles between Lucas and Yulia. Which is why Yulia is determined to break free from the ropes that confine her—before Lucas' desire for her, his obsession, binds them together forevermore.
He’s asking, and I can’t refuse him. Not while I feel so lost and alone.

Yulia Tzakova is one of my favorite heroines. She's strong, yet weak. She's experienced, yet innocent. She's afraid, yet fearless. There's layers of her personality that I admired, and others that I could identify with...which made the depths of her emotions throughout the book that much more touching to me—her longing, her dread, her determination, her struggle mentally, physically, and emotionally.
I’m suffocating, spinning into the cold darkness, and all I can do is fight, scream and fight.
Lucas Kent stole my heart with his rough hands and caring words. I adored the fight he had within himself—all his confusing, conflicting wants and needs towards Yulia. One moment his kindness would make my tummy flutter, then he had me biting my lip—wondering what sinful cruelness would follow. It was utterly maddening, and deeeeeeply addicting.
The primitive, possessive hunger that gripped me earlier is still there, but now it’s reined in by the need to please her, to make her feel at least a fraction of the ecstasy she gives me.

I bow to Anna Zaires for her ability to write a beautifully balanced dark romance; in Bind Me there was just enough danger to keep my senses sharp, but with an edge of safe to will me into sighing in satisfaction.
“Good, that’s a good girl.” His grip in my hair eases as I close my lips around his thick shaft and hollow out my cheeks, sucking on him. “Exactly like that, beautiful…”
Well-written and severely sensual, this book sizzled with chemistry that threatened to light the words on fire—as well as a contradictory romanticism that was painful and pleasurable in its intensity.
I should’ve found his approval humiliating, but I revel in the small tenderness, soaking it up with desperate need. I feel tired, so tired that all I want to do is stay like this, with him stroking my hair as I drift off into nothingness.
While the plot of Bind Me was a slow smolder, the characters kept me captivated in the story—as well as the twist that had me gasping—until the end when my fragile heart was set aflame...and I was left aching, bursting with screams for more of the Capture Me series.

Overall, I would recommend this book for those who want to feel the burn of an erotic, dark romance—but with a light of love that inspires hope in darkness, shining brighter and more painful than any fire...
The need to claim her is potent and primal, an instinct born in the mists of time. She was made for me, this beautiful, broken girl. She was destined to be mine. Still kissing her, I drive into her, again and again, as deep as I can go, and eventually, I feel her hands on my back as she embraces me, holding me close. Binding me as tightly as I’ve bound her.
