Sean Sparrow is a thief. He takes what he wants, when he wants. And living life with that knowledge—that everything can be stolen, from his hands and others'—is a burden. Because he knows world isn't innocent, and neither are the people who inhabit it; they can be as guilty as he is.

...she just smiles at me. Trusting. A trust I’m going to shatter, but I’m going to enjoy it while I still have it. Soak up as much of it as I can. Hold on to each sweet moment.
Except for her—Tessa Martin, a curvy, red-headed woman whose eyes don't beguile, whose lips don't lie. She's as kind as can be, and her inner beauty is what captures Sean's attention...but it's who she is, inside and out, that he obsesses over. That he loves, and vows to protect.

Only thieving can be a dangerous, often deadly, job. And when Tessa's light—her innocence—is stolen, she's forced to face the darkness...and Sean's beguiles, all his lies.

Too much darkness is seeping in on her, and I feel like I’m losing control. This wasn't how this was supposed to go.
With a bang, everything Tessa believes, everything she adores, is shot down—and in the end, she has to choose: whether or not to stitch the bleeding in her broken heart, or to let love die with a bullet of betrayal?

Stealing sneak peaks from the outside, Sean and Tessa don't appear to be the perfect match. Whereas she's a shy, curvy red-head, "looking like a prim and proper angel", he's a tall, stocky guy with tons of tattoos, unruly facial hair, and a gruff demeanor.

But what makes them different, also attracts them to each other. His light, her darkness. His ruin, her innocence. Their relationship—even before they had an "official relationship"—had a smile crooking my lips.

Each day my little obsession for her seems to grow. Now I’m so deep there’s no turning back. I have to have her, and I will, by any means necessary.
Because Sean's stalker-like tenancies (while abhorrent in RL), were so charming and his thoughts of Tessa, his all-consuming yearning for her, was gorgeous and promised a happy ending that made my heart melt.

I adored all of Sean, and straight-up declare book boyfriend war on anyone who dares to battle me for him. *wink* He was sexy, and hot—with a bad-boy edge—yet remained as sweet as sugar to those he loved. The mix of his personality was intoxicating, and I thank Alexa Riley for getting me drunk on his crazy kind of love.

I touch the tips of my fingers to the glass, wishing I could trail them down her soft skin. I’ve never been close enough to her to touch her, but I bet it would be like touching a dandelion . Soft, delicate, and can be broken by the slightest puff of breath.
And Tessa...that fictional woman is a lucky little fox. Not only because she gets to have Sean for pages and pages beyond—but because her personal growth, her character ARC from timid mouse to bold beauty, was inspiring and surprising for a novella.

Speaking of...Alexa Riley stole not only love and lust, but suspense and silent intrigue, and smuggled it into the pages of Thief.

I just need to make her crave me, too. Dig myself deep into her, so when all the truths come to light, I’ll be in too deep for her to try and push me away.
There was a shocking amount of development in the novella, not only from the characters (as aforementioned) but from the plot itself, that (Breeding, #3) was a bit more than the usual titillating, down-and-dirty, erotic read.

Overall, I would most definitely recommend Thief (Breeding, #3) for those who crave to abduct an over-the-top, smutty novella that embezzles "SUPER hot steam, Kindle-melting love, and a beard to rub between thighs" in the pages, for the kinky thoughts to kidnap your mind.

*PS: I was given an copy of this book in exchange for a review. But I do solemnly swear that I am up to...good. *wink* This is a fair and honest review of this book, pinky promise.*

*PSS: If I could, I'd be a thief...and steal a paperback copy of each of the (Breeding) series, because of the cover love lust alone. (;
